NEW CARLISLE - Cecil Leroy Swank, 77, of Timothy Road, died at 3:20 p.m. Monday in the home of his nephew, Dan Swank. Mr. Swank retired from the Norfolk Railroad with more than 20 years of service. He was born Nov. 5, 1916, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident of New Carlisle.

Surviving are a niece, Judith Jones of South Bend; and four nephews, Dan, Ed and Ron, all of New Carlisle, and Jim of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
