SOUTH BEND - Helen Jean Sutton, 53,
of 53307 Peggy Lane, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph
Hospital, Mishawaka, after an illness. Mrs. Sutton was a former
real estate agent for Prudential Dunfee Realty. She was born Feb.
20, 1940, in Providence, Ky.
On Oct. 3, 1959, in Providence, she married
Rev. Leroy Sutton. He survives with a daughter, Starla A. Ross
of South Bend; two sons, Leroy W. III of West Palm Beach, Fla.,
and Mark E. of Kokomo; eight grandchildren; her parents, Juliet
and Eugene Marable of Providence; two sisters, Janice Taylor
of North Chicago, Ill., and Debbie Marable of Providence; and a
brother, Louis Marable of South Bend. She was a member of Greater
Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, and was president of Voices
of Joy, Women's Department, and Pastor's and Deacon's Wives E.A.
McNeely District.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St.
Memorial Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in Highland
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today in Alford's
Mortuary and from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Greater Holy Temple Church
of God in Christ, where memorial services will be at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Greater Holy Temple Church
of God in Christ Building Fund.
