PLYMOUTH - Beverly Jean Sult, 77, of Plymouth, formerly of
South Bend, passed away at 3:50 PM Saturday, March 29, 2008, in
Miller's Merry Manor-Plymouth. She was born on January 28, 1931,
in South Bend, to Claude and Ruby Louise (Althouse) Pierce,
and was a lifelong resident. She was preceded in death by her
husbands, William Edward Thompson and Alvin Sult; her
granddaughter, Kristy Lee Andersen; and by a sister,
Virginia Vida. Mrs. Sult is survived by her daughter, Pam Andersen
of Plymouth; four sons, Jerry Thompson of South Bend, Charlie
Thompson of Clarksville, TN, Jeff (Jackie Masterson) Thompson of
LaPorte and Alvin Loy Sult Jr. of Westville; a stepdaughter,
Cindy Short of New Carlisle; two stepsons, Paul (Debbie) Sult of
New Carlisle and Mark Sult. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren
and 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn Paris
of Port Richey, FL, Nancy Vida and Pat (Joe) Laskowski,
both of South Bend; and three brothers, Johnny Pierce of
Alabama, Leo Pierce of Walkerton and Claude (Evelyn) Pierce Jr.
of Lydick. Mrs. Sult retired in 1981 from Easy Heat. She loved to
play bingo, was an avid NASCAR and country music fan, and was a
doll collector.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Pastor Rustin Krapfl of Sunrise Chapel, Plymouth, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM today (Wednesday) and one hour prior to services on Thursday in the funeral home.
