Betty R. Sullivan

SOUTH BEND - Memorial services for Betty R. Sullivan, 69, of North Lombardy Drive, who died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in her home, will be at a later date. Cremation will take place. McGann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mrs. Sullivan retired in 1991 from Memorial Hospital after 31 years of service as a nurse's aide. She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Fairmont, W.Va., and lived in South Bend for 47 years. On May 5, 1944, in Winchester, Ind., as Betty R. Sharrer, she married Hugo P. Sullivan. He died Feb. 19, 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Diana J. Sult of South Bend; three sons, Roger A. of Michigan City, and Gary S. and Mark A., both of South Bend; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary L. Vicsocky and Melva Pemberton, both of South Bend, Anna Mae Sharrer and Carol Berkypile, both of Irving, Texas, and Judy Whittenburg of Michigan City; and a brother, Melvin Sharrer Jr. of Michigan City. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
