SOUTH BEND – Michael Stuban Jr., 72, of 21683 W. Kern Road, died at 12:48am Sunday at Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Stuban was employed by H. D. Lee Co. for 16 years and retired in 1983 form Redi-Froz as a dockworker.

He was born April 20, 1918, in Shelburn IN, and lived in South Bend most of his life.  On December 27, 1941, in South Bend, he married Doris I. Strycker.  She survives with two daughters, Gail M. Lapkiewicz of South Bend and Linda I. Makowski of Granger; a son, Michael H. of South Bend; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Stamm of Elkhart and Lydia Vargo of South Bend.

He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Centre Township Lions Club and 20 year member of Local 364 of the Teamsters union.

Services will be at 2pm Wednesday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Tuesday in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Indiana Lions Club or any charity.
