Mrs. Ancenette Stryker
Mrs.
Ancenette Stryker, aged 79 years, died this morning at 2:15 o'clock at the home
of her son, Hugh L. Stryker, 1115 North Lafayette street. Death followed an
illness of two years with Bright's disease. Mrs. Stryker was born in New York
state Feb. 16, 1834, and came to South Bend four years ago from Berrien Springs,
Mich. She was married to Garret Stryker, who died June 19, 1890. Besides her
son, with whom she lived, she is survived by the following children: Mrs. G. L.
Faurote, of Niles, Mich.; Mrs. L.F. Spencer, Lawrence, Mich.; E.R. Lake,
Washington, D.C.; Frank Stryker of St. Joseph, Mich.; Wilford Stryker of Los
Angeles, Calif.; D. J. Stryker of Portland, ME. The funeral services will be
held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the residence, Rev. F.K. Dougherty
officiating. The body will be taken to Bakertown, Mich., for
burial.
