Mrs.
Mabel Etta Stroup
Mrs. Mabel Etta Stroup, 416 N. Arthur St.,
died unexpectedly at 11:45 a.m. Monday. She was born June 21, 1876, in St.
Joseph County. Surviving are five sons, Wilbur, Theodore, William and
Louis, all of South Bend, and Jesse S. of Weston, Ore., 27 grandchildren, a
sister, Mrs. Clyde Weaver, of South Bend, and four brothers, Milford, of
Elkhart, Ind., Alfred, of Argos, Ind., John of Mishawaka, and David Price, of
LaPorte, Ind. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Orvis Funeral
Home, Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Second Church of
the Brethren with Rev. Charles Stouder, pastor officiating. Burial will be
in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The body will lie in the church from noon
Thursday until the services.
