SOUTH BEND - Services for Warren Strong
Sr., 74, of Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center, who
died at 5:20 p.m. Friday in the center, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday
in Warner Funeral Home, Osceola. Entombment will be in Rice
Cemetery, Elkhart. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to
any charity.
Mr. Strong was a former employee of
Studebaker Corp., S & H Cabonics, Mishawaka, and was
self-employed as a bartender at Morris Inn, Notre Dame. He was
born Dec. 6, 1921, in Fulton County, Ind., and lived in this area
most of his life.
Surviving are two daughters, Cherie Thompson
of Elkhart and Christina Gordon of Orlando, Fla.; a son,
Warren R. Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dortha Waidner of
Zionsville, Ind., and Phyllis Lauderback of South Bend; a
brother, Raymond ''Pete'' of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and a foster
brother, Richard Schuman of Columbus, Ohio. A grandchild
preceded him in death. He was a World War II Army veteran.
