SOUTH BEDN – John V. Strom, 63, of 52778 Kenilworth Road, died Friday in his home after an illness. He was a security guard for Sibley Machine and Foundry Co. Born Dec. 12, 1922 in South Bend he lived here all his life.

On. June 19, 1943 in South Bend, he married Phyllis Kronewitter, wh survives with three daughters, Nikki Nowak of Columbus, Ohio, Kim Cumberland of Hiliard, Ohio and Cindy Strom at home; two sons, John D. of Dowagiac and Kevin P. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Melvin K. of South Bend.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer North Chapel. Mr. Strom was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a World War II Army veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.

Services for John V. Strom, 63, of 52778 Kenilworth Road, who died Friday in his home, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Prayers will be said in the Welsheimer North Chapel at 7:30 p.m. today. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
