Frances A. Strombeck, 89, of South Ironwood Drive, South Bend, Ind., formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, in St. Paul's Retirement Community.

Frances was born on July 24, 1910, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Rogers; two sisters, Rosemary Benjamin and Gertrude Luke; and by two brothers, John and Frank Rogers.

Frances A. Rogers married Norman D. Strombeck in South Bend on June 16, 1932. He also preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1991. She is survived by a son, Dale L. Strombeck of Mishawaka; and by a grandson, Dale A. Strombeck of South Bend. She was formerly employed by the K-Mart Corporation and also worked for the Town and Country Theater.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
