Dr. Vere A. Strayer
Dr. Vere A. Strayer, aged about 50, of Orlando, Fla., a former resident here and a practicing osteopathic physician for many yeares died in his Orland home at 1 am today, according to word received by friends. He was born in South Bend attended public school here. He was graduated from the Kirksville, Mo., School of Osteopathy and later took specialized training. He practiced in South Bend for some years leaving about 15 years ago for Orlando. He was a son of the last Emer E. Strayer, an early resident here. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruby Strayer of Orlando, Mrs. Wade L. Hardy, of this city is a cousin. The funeral will take place at 3 pm Saturday in the Carey-Hands funeral home in Orlando.
