Paul R. Stout, 81, of 20124 Pulling St., died at 2:10 p.m. Monday in Medco Nursing Center. Mr. Stout had been a self-employed painter and decorator. He was born Dec. 28, 1905, in Hymera, Ind., and moved to South Bend in 1929 from Hymera. On Nov. 19, 1932, in Bertrand, Ind., he married Vera Feece, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Nancy Bradburn of Ridgeway, Colo.; a son, Larry of South Bend; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine Huffman of South Bend and Josephine Nering of Mishawaka; and two brothers, Forest of Mishawaka and Ernest of South Bend.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bowman Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. He was a member of Calvary Temple Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Chapter of Alzheimer's Disease, c/o Julius Rupp, 2640 Tamarack Place, South Bend, 46615.
