MISHAWAKA – Mrs. Barbara Stoecking, 88, died at St. Joseph Hospital Friday afternoon following a five-month illness. She was born in Germany Dec. 15, 1836, and came to Mishawaka from there 39 years ago. She had resided with Mrs. Peter Schumacher, for the last 27 years, since the death of her husband Sebastian Stoeckinger.

She leaves three sons, Frederick, John and George, all of this city; and four daughters, Mrs. Fred VanderHeyden, Mrs. Albert H. Hueneskopa, Mrs. Peter Schumacher, all of this city and Mrs. Fred Koehler of South Bend.

Funeral services will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church Monday at 8 a.m. with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
