Joan P. Stineback: (South Bend Tribune 4/9/1997)
Nov. 18, 1937-April 7, 1997 Joan P. Stineback, 59, Quince Road,
passed away at 2:15 a.m. Monday in St. Josephs Medical
Center. Mrs. Stineback was born Nov. 18, 1937, in South Bend, and
was a lifelong resident. She was formerly employed as a private
duty nurse. On June 6, 1961, in South Bend, as Joan P. Golupski,
she married Robert K. Stineback, who survives. Also surviving is
a daughter, Susan Stineback of South Bend; three sons, Frank,
Russ and Jim Stineback, all of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; one
great-grandson; three sisters, Lucille Shubert and Theresa
Ullery, both of South Bend, and Eleanor Watkins of Platteville,
Colo.; and two brothers, John Samp of South Bend and Frank
Golupski of New Carlisle. Mrs. Stineback was a member of
Holy Family Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
9820 Womens Auxiliary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday, April 10, in Holy Family Catholic Church, Rev. Paul
Butler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski
Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish rosary will be
recited at 6:30 p.m.
