Vera L. Stiffler, 71, of 3426 Portsmouth Court, Mishawaka, died Saturday afternoon in St. Joseph Medical Center. She retired from Telephone Answering Sercive as a supervisor. Born Oct. 11, 1913 in South Bend, she had lived here all her life. On June 30, 1937 in South Bend, she married William C. Stiffler who died June 25, 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Wolf, of South Bend, and Marsha Warsaw of Mishawaka; a son, W. Robert Stiffler of South Bend; nine grandchildren; a sister, Winifred Follmer of Edwardsburg; and a brother, Dean H. Hamilton of Edwardsburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Welscheimer Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum. Friend may call from 4 to 8 Monday and until services at the funeral home.
