H. Emmett Stiffler

April 11, 1891 – June 15, 1982

H. Emmett Stiffler, 91, formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday morning in St Petersburg FL, after a brief illness.  He was retired from Whirlpool Corp.

He was born April 11, 1891, in Prospect OH and lived in South Bend before moving to Florida.  In 1912 in Marion OH, he married the former Blanche Morrow, who died in 1951.  Surviving are two sons, William C. of Mishawaka and Hubert G. of Cincinnati; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

There will be no visitation.  Services will be at 11am Friday in the Portage Chapel of Riverview Cemetery, with Rev. Franklin May, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Mishawaka, officiating and burial will follow.  He was a member of Marion Lodge 27 F & AM and of the Knights Templar.
