Ruth Hepler Stewart, 69, of Berkley
Circle, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of Granger, Ind., died at 3:22
a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, in Hospice House of South Bend, Ind.
She was born in Mishawaka on Aug. 17, 1932, and had lived in this
area all of her life.
As Ruth Hepler she married William A.
Stewart in Mishawaka on Jan. 7, 1955. William died on Feb. 3,
1993. Ruth was also preceded in death by her parents, Paul and
Cleona (Kaufman) Hepler; and by a brother, Dean Hepler.
She retired in 1993 from the Corvilla Care Facility as a
nutritionist. Ruth was a member of the First Christian Church in
Mishawaka. Ruth is survived by two sons, Allen Stewart and Marvin
(Becky) Stewart, both of Edwardsburg, Mich.; a daughter, Paula Mangeris
of Mishawaka; and four grandchildren. She is also survived by two
sisters, Barbara (Robert) Coddington of Estero, Fla., and
Jeannette Diane (James) Renner of Broken Arrow, Okla.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today,
Sept. 19, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street,
Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday,
Sept. 20, in the Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ, with
Rev. Sam Boys officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview
Cemetery, Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
