WALKERTON - Richard Thomas Stevens, 81, of 20634 4B Road, died at 9:51 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital of Marshall County, Plymouth. Mr. Stevens retired from Beatty Hospital, Westville, as a painter. He was born Dec. 15, 1914, in Henderson, Ky., and lived in Walkerton since 1957.

In 1954, he married Thelma Nunnelly. She died Dec. 8, 1973. He is survived by a companion, Helga Trago of Walkerton; three daughters, Barbara Sutton and Delores Berning, both of Henderson, and Juanita Hoyt of Hinsdale, Ill.; three sons, J.M. Utley of Plano, Texas, Bruce Nunnelly of Tucker, Ga., and Randall Sutton of LaPorte; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Vince ''Sugg'' of Henderson.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date at Fernwood Cemetery, Henderson. Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
