SOUTH BEND - Virginia G. Sterry, 45, of South Bend, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Virginia was born on October 22, 1962, in Harrisburg, AR, to Odis and Doris (Whitlow) Highland. She is survived by her children, Phillip (Stephanie) Sterry Jr. of Mishawaka, Melissa and Chelsea Sterry, both of South Bend; four grandchildren, Isaiah, Hailey, Phillip III and Brayden; ex-husband, Phillip Sterry Sr. of Mishawaka; her mother, Doris Highland of Osceola; three sisters, Patricia (Bill) Gongwer of Goshen, Glenda (James) Marchand of Osceola and Belinda Matz of Mishawaka; and a brother, Paul (Tammy) Highland of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, in the funeral home, with Rev. Daniel Boes officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
