Brother Vasimir Stelzel CSC, 78, former business manager of the Ave Maria Press, Notre Dame died Friday at Dujarie House, Notre Dame, after a brief illness. He was born Frank Stelzel on July 21, 1891 in Bethel, Conn. He received the habit of the Brothers of Holy Cross on Feb. 1, 1929 and made his first vows on Feb. 2, 1930 and final vows on July 2, 1933. He worked in the Ave Maria office from 1931 to 1945, then was at Holy Cross Mission Seminary until 1960. He was at Notre Dame High School, Sherman Oaks, Calif. until becoming ill. He was a World War I Army veteran. He is survived by a sister.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Holy Cross Brothers Center, the requiem mass will be at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph  Novitiate, Valatie, N.Y.
