Frances Papai Steinhofer (nee Graverson),
80, passed away on Friday morning in Saint
Josephs Regional Medical Center.
Frances, born
in Bremen to Bernece and Theodord Graverson, was the oldest of
seven children. Married to Michael S. Papai and Frank
Steinhofer, both of whom preceded her in death, Frances is
survived by her brothers, John, Tom and Ted Graverson (Bremen IN)
sister, Maree Klopfenstein (Mishawaka IN) daughter, Susan (Bron)
Wolff (Valparaiso IN); and two stepchildren, Frank and Edward
Steinhofer.
Frances was a
loving grandmother to Meg (Chicago IL), Sarah (Columbus OH) Holly
and Scott Wolff. A lifelong resident of South Bend, Frances
was employed for many years at Koehler Insurance and was an
active member of Holy Cross Parish and the Altar Rosary Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
10am on Tuesday, December 28, 1999,
in Holy Cross Church. Everyone should meet at Holy Cross Church
on Tuesday morning. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8pm Monday in the Kaniewski Funeral
Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed
at 5pm.
Frances
had many friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

SOUTH BEND Frances G. Steinhofer,
80, of Tanglewood Trace, Mishawaka, formerly of Wilbur Street,
died Friday in St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Survivors
include a daughter, Susan Wolff of Valparaiso; two stepsons,
Frank Steinhofer of Walkerton and Edward Steinhofer of Indiana; a
sister, Maree Klopfenstein of Mishawaka; and three brothers,
John, Thomas and Theodore Graverson, all of Bremen. Services will
be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Friends may
call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be said at 5 p.m.
