SOUTH BEND - Celia Stein, 97, of Southbrook Drive, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in her home. Mrs. Stein was born March 15, 1898, in Russia, and lived in South Bend most of her life.

On Jan. 18, 1927, in Chicago, as Celia Brown, she married Sam Stein. He died April 17, 1988. She is survived by two daughters, Pat Leviton of Dallas and Sue Kobak of Valparaiso; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was a member of Temple Beth-El and Hadassah.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity
