Lucian Steinbaugh, 77, of River Park,
passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, following an
illness. He was born on Dec. 13, 1923, in Mishawaka, Ind., to
Oscar and Martha Steinbaugh, who preceded him in death.
In January 1947 he married Laverna Jackson
in Osceola, Ind. He then married Katherine Stopper in
South Bend, Ind., on July 25, 1975. They survive with seven
children, Connie (Billy) Stabler of Uriah, Ala., Bonnie
(Bill) Tuttle of Buchanan, Mich., Sherry (Chuck) Raven
of Mishawaka, Sandi Steinbaugh of Elkhart, Ind., Rosie (Roy) LaBere
of Wexford, Pa., Edgar Steinbaugh of Mishawaka and Patricia
(George) Truman of South Bend; 18 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia (Bill) Correll
of Mishawaka and Kathleen (Chuck) Sisk of Nashville,
Tenn.; two brothers, Gerald (Linda) Steinbaugh of Goshen, Ind.,
and Vertsel (Evelyn) Steinbaugh of Osceola. He was also preceded
in death by two brothers, Edgar and Byron Steinbaugh.
Mr. Steinbaugh was a member of the Century
21 Club at Dodge Manufacturing where he retired in 1982 after 30
years. He was also a member of VFW Post 360 of Mishawaka.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in
the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka,
where friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Burial
will follow the services Saturday at Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association or to the American Heart Association.
