Beverly Jean Steigmeyer, 70, of Randolph Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away of an illness at home with her lifelong companion, Dewey Covell.
She was born in Mishawaka, Ind., on Nov. 17, 1927, to Kenneth and Dorothy Boyer.
She is survived by a loving son, Brian Steigmeyer, and daughter, Lynn Hailey, both of South Bend; her sister, Gloria J. Davis of South Bend; a son-in-law, Gary Hailey, also of South Bend; and by four grandchildren, Ty Steigmeyer, Shawn Steigmeyer, Justin Fernbaugh and Amber Clayton.
She will be missed by many and will live in our hearts and memories forever.
She was a member of the Marine Corps League Women's Auxiliary, and was a homemaker and a waitress.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Baker. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
