STARKWEATHER-Friends of Alford Edmond "Ed" Starkweather, 1424 S. High St., who died Thursday in Memorial Hospital may call at the Hollis Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday with Rev. James H. Ellerbrook, of Indiana Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Mr. Starkweather was born in South Bend April 2, 1903, and lived here all his life except for a brief period when he lived in Homer, Mich. He returned to South Bend last year. He married Mary Matilda Wiltfong in 1924 in South Bend. Surviving are his widow; five brothers, Charles, of South Bend, William and Wesley, Battle Creek, Mich.; Clifford, Edwardsburg, Mich., and James, Lansing, Mich. Mr. Starkweather was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Homer.
