John S. Pauls
John S. Stamatopoulos, aged 47, 1017 Fuerbringer street, known in South Bend as John S. Pauls, died in Epworth hospital at 4:15 pm Monday after an illness of four months.  Born in Greece August 17, 1896, he moved to South Bend in 1918 from Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was part owner of the restaurant at the union bus depot.  Surviving are his wife, Kalliopi, and a son, Savvas, at home, and his mother, a brother and two sisters in Greece.  Friends may call in the A.M. Russell funeral home until 2 pm, Wednesday.  Furneral services will be held in the Greek Orthodox church at 3 pm Wednesday.  Rev. Arcadious Arcadiou, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Southlawn cemetery.  Mr. Stamatopoulos was a member of the Ahepa lodge and the Panarcadian lodge.
