SOUTH BEND - Leonard J. ''Lennie'' Staldine, 64, of Montrose Drive, died after an illness at 6:53 a.m. Tuesday in his home. Mr. Saldine retired in 1990 from South Bend Supply Co. after more than 40 years of service. He was born May 15, 1931, in Chicago and lived in South Bend since 1937.

On Sept. 24, 1950, in Rochester, he married Marilyn Bussert. She survives with two sons, Rick of Gillette, Wyo., and Barry of Pendleton, Ind.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Morgan of Goreville, Ill. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge 235, and American Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers, and he was a charter member of Planned Parenthood of Northern Indiana.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
