Will J. Stackman, aged 71, of 625
Lincoln Way East, an employee of the Birdsell Manufacturing
company 32 years and since 1924 a painter and decorator, died in
his residence at 2:15 o'clock this morning. His death follows a
year's illness.
Mr. Stackman was born in South Bend, Jan. 5, 1863, and spent his
entire life here. He was married in Niles, Mich., in 1882 to Miss
Lydia Warren, who survives him.
He leaves also two sons, Harvey Stackman, of
this city, and Cecil Stackman, of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs.
Ethel Alwine, of South Bend; three brothers, Edward and
Frank Stackman, of Iowa City, Ia.; and John Stackman, of South
Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, of
Kalamazoo, Mich.; Mrs. Sophia Kratzer, of St. Louis, Mo.,
and Mrs. Della Mark, of South Bend. He leaves also six
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral of Will J. Stackman, 625 Lincoln Way East,
will take place at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the
residence. Rev. Elmer Ward Cole, D. D., pastor of First Christian
church, will read the service and interment will be in city
cemetery.
