MISHAWAKA - Tamara "Tammy" S. Stackman, 64, of
Mishawaka, passed away Thursday morning, February 14, 2008, at
home. Tammy was born December 6, 1943, in Mishawaka, a daughter
of the late Joseph and Helen (Prokop) Burns. She
was a 1962 graduate of Mishawaka High School and had lived in
Mishawaka most of her life.
On May 18, 1963, in South Bend, Tammy
married Ronnie Stackman. She was employed at several area
factories and her last place of employment was Specialty Windows
in Elkhart. Tammy enjoyed roller skating, camping, bowling and
playing Euchre. Tammy's family was an important part of her life.
Those surviving her include two daughters, Rhonda Hoak of
Dewey, Arizona, and Deborah Ruscio of Mishawaka; six
grandchildren, John, Amber and Christopher Tutorow,
and Ronnie, Randy and Mary Smith; one great- grandchild,
Pamela Tutorow; two brothers, Thomas Burns and Stephen Burns; and
three sisters, Bonnie Leng, Linda Kunz and Marianne
Parker. Besides her parents, Tammy was preceded in death
by her husband, Ronnie, and two daughters, Pamela Stackman and
Sheryll Stackman.
Family and friends may spend time together
on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon in Thallemer, Goethals &
Wells Funeral Home, 503 West Third Street, Mishawaka. Services
will be held at noon Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev.
Jeffery Largent officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorials are suggested to The Center
for Hospice & Palliative Care. Assistance with memorials is
