Bertha R. Stack

December 9, 1909 – June 13, 2001

Bertha R. Stack, 91, formerly of W. 13^th Street, Mishawaka, passed away at 7:05am June 13in Countryside Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka.

Mrs. Stack was born December 9, 1909 in South Bend as the daughter of Camiel and Martha (Buysse) VanWynsberghe who preceded her in death.  Bertha is survived by a son, James (Leona) Stack of South Bend and two grandchildren, Michele and Mike Stack both of South Bend.

Bertha was a lifetime area resident.  She worked as a bookkeeper for three years for Concrete Products before retiring in 1974.  She was a member of the National Secretary’s Association for Women’s Construction, the Rosary Society of Sacred Heart, and St Bavo’s Catholic Church.

Friends may call from 2 to 7pm today, June 14 at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8^th Street, Mishawaka, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Friday June 15 in St Bavo’s Catholic Church, Mishawaka with Rev. Frumentius Kule officiating.  Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
