John J. Sprinkles Sr

December 23, 1908 – November 15, 1977

John J. Sprinkles Sr, 68, of 1020 Talbot, died at 1am Tuesday in White Memorial Hospital, Los Angeles, after an eight month illness.  Sprinkles was visiting his sons in Los Angeles.  He was retired from the Studebaker Corp.

He was born on December 23, 1908, in Carmi IL and lived here since 1943, after coming form Terre Haute.  On May 15, 1926, in Terre Haute, he married Ernestine Herrine, who died in 1972.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Emma Jean Coates of Chicago; two sons, John J. Jr. and Ernest, both of Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Edie of Indianapolis; and a brother, Malcolm of Detroit.
