Mishawaka – Miss Catherine “Katie” Spalazzi, 62, of 202 W, 11^th Street, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital, after an extended illness. Born on April 6, 1916, in Mishawaka, she had lived here all her life. She retired from Uniroyal, Inc., in 1974, after 34 years of employment. Survivors include a brother, Frank Spalazzi of
Mishawaka; two nephews, and two nieces.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Hoevel, pastor will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Flowers are also acceptable.
