SOUTH BEND - Beverly J. Spainhower,
72, of South 35th Street, died at 3 p.m. Monday in her home after
an illness. Mrs. Spainhower was born Jan. 27, 1924, in South
Bend.
On Nov. 8, 1947, in South Bend, as Beverly Baney,
she married Charles L. Spainhower. He died April 24, 1992. She is
survived by two daughters, Kathleen Nowacki and Deborah
Spainhower-Jackey, both of South Bend; two sons, Terry and
Timothy C., both of South Bend; 12 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Auwenrogge of South
Bend and Donna Wieczorek of Mishawaka; and six brothers,
Wayne Baney of South Bend, Paul Baney of Homosassa, Fla., Dwight
Baney of Chicago, Ronald Baney of Lakeville, Donald Baney of
Mishawaka, and Dean Baney of Fort Pierce, Fla. A daughter,
Cynthia Spainhower, died Aug. 21, 1959; and a son, Mickey, died
Oct. 13, 1972.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in
St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in St.
Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to
8 p.m. Wednesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd.,
and after 12:45 until services Thursday in the church. Memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
