SOUTH BEND - Margaret Spagnolo, 69, 1402 Lincoln Way West, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness on six months. Her husband, John, a retired tailor, died last year. Born in Prezza, Italy, Jan. 5, 1887, she came here in 1925 from Chicago. Surviving are three sons, Albert, Edward and Nicholas; three daughters, Mrs. Christine Marshman, Mrs. Rose Richart, and Mrs. Josie Pruett, all of South Bend; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Pago, Mrs. Susie Nappi, and Mrs. Marie Nigro, all of Chicago; and a brother, Anthony Iorri, Kenosha, Wis.

 

Friends may call in the Hollis Funeral Home after noon Thursday. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Thomas F. Peyton CSC, pastor, chanting. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was a member of Chapter 6 auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans, and a gold star mother.
