SOUTH BEND - Edward J. Spagnolo, 76, of Bradenton, Fla., died Wednesday in his home after an illness. Mr. Spagnolo retired after 30 years of service from the wholesale produce business.

He was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Chicago and lived in South Bend for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, W. Jeanne Spagnolo of Bradenton; a son, Henry J. of Bradenton; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Pruitt of South Bend.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Saints Peter & Paul Apostle Catholic Church, Bradenton. Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto, Fla. Bradenton Funeral Home handled arrangements.
