John P. Soto, 63, of Mishawaka, died at 6:53 a.m. Sunday, October 22, 2006, in Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on January 31, 1943, to Enrique and Maria Victoria (Gomez) Soto. He was preceded in death by his parents and by twin sons, Jonathan John and Jefte Benjamin Soto.

John married the former Freida E. Cave in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on September 4, 1969. He is survived by Freida; two daughters, Jemima Soto and Jennifer (Jason) Santiago, both of Mishawaka; a granddaughter, Natalie Santiago; two sisters, Enriqueta Soto and Cruz Paladines; six brothers, Lucho, Pancho, Clemente, Daniel, Humberto and Simon Soto, all of Ecuador.

John was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Mishawaka Spanish North Congregation. He was the owner-operator of Soto's Janitorial Service.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006, in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 26807 U.S. Highway 20, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services.

Bubb Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
