SOUTH BEND - Delta Marie (Hutchison) Sorocco, 85, passed away at 11:41 p.m. Sunday, July 15, in Memorial Hospital. Delta was born May 5, 1922, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Harriet and Shirley Hutchison. Delta was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Shirley "Bud" Hutchison Jr., and a sister, Mary Zima.

On February 25, 1941, she married Joseph J. Sorocco in South Bend. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; a son, Joseph J. (Mary Ann) Sorocco Jr. of South Bend; a daughter, Connie (David) Wiseman of Granger; four grandchildren, Douglas (Kristen) Sorocco of Oklahoma City, Leslie (Neil) Miller of South Bend, Derek (Amy) Wiseman of Granger and Jared Wiseman of South Bend. Delta also has four great-grandchildren, Karl Sorocco, Mason and Piper Wiseman, and Ethan Wiseman.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday in the McGann Hay University Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road at Ironwood. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. in the funeral home on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospital, 615 N. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601; or any charity of the donor's choice.
