SOUTH BEND - Frederick J. Sonneborn, 87, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Friday in Drew Village Rehabilitation Center, Clearwater. Mr. Sonneborn retired as the co-owner of Sonneborn Sporting Shop.

He was born Oct. 16, 1906, in LaPorte. His wife, Gertrude A. (Uhlemann) Sonneborn, died Sept. 25, 1973. He is survived by a son, Frederick J. II of South Bend; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater, handled arrangements.
