MISHAWAKA - Wiley Wallace Somers Jr., 25, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Mishawaka, died about 10:30 p.m. Friday after being struck by a train 15 feet east of West Street at the Conrail crossing. Deputy Coroner Charles Hurley ruled the death accidental. Mr. Somers was born March 19, 1968, in South Bend and lived in the area most of his life. On July 7, 1990, in Mishawaka, he married Lois Carlile. She survives with two sons, Wiley W. III and Timothy S., both at home; a stepdaughter, Felice Carlile at home; his mother, Mary Lou Somers of Mishawaka; two sisters, Tammy Porman and Juanita ``Pokey'' Somers, both of Mishawaka; and four brothers, Timothy S., John T., and William, all of Mishawaka, and Tracy of South Bend.

Graveside services and burial were today in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. There will be no services or visitation in the funeral home. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
