Ulla Viola Soltesz

Ulla Viola Hemig Soltesz, 74, passed
away of natural causes on Sunday, July 9, in the Ironwood Health
and Rehabilitation Center. Ulla was born in Engleholm, Sweden, on
May 19, 1926, and grew up in Culver, Ind. Married for 37 years to
George Hemig, she lived in South Bend for 55 years. George
preceded her in death in 1983. Ulla married Edward Soltesz in
1995, and he also preceded her in death. Ulla worked as a
bookkeeper for Cloeding & Deman before retiring from Knepp
Studios in 1988. Left to cherish her memory are daughters,
Kristin (Hemig) Daniels, wife of Terry Daniels of Osceola, Ind.,
Kathy (Hemig) Grenert of Mesa, Ariz., and Karol (Hemig) Leiter,
wife of Michael Leiter of Osceola; six grandchildren, Geoff
Grenert of Reno, Nev., Todd Grenert of Scottsdale, Ariz., Ryan
and Erin Blasko, both of Mishawaka, Ind., and Cameron and
Ethan Leiter of Osceola; three great- grandchildren, Garret and
Ben Grenert of Reno, and Nicholas Blasko of Mishawaka.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on
Thursday, July 13, in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home,
3718 South Michigan street, South Bend. Those wishing to make a
