Julia Sobodos

Julia Sobodos, 84, formerly of 2110 S. Scott St., passed away at 5:35 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Regency Place Nursing Center. Mrs. Sobodos was employed by Weisser Brothers Grocery Store and by Sears. She was born on Aug. 20, 1916, in South Bend to Steve and Elizabeth Nagy. On Nov. 26, 1938, in South Bend as Julia Nagy, she married Frank Sobodos. He died on Nov. 1, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Steve Nagy; and a sister, Betty Mabey. Mrs. Sobodos was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church and its Harvest House. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon (Charles) Clark of South Bend; a granddaughter, Kimberly (Randy) Yoho; a great-grandchild, Charles Yoho; and three step-great-grandchildren, Kelie Yoho, Matthew Yoho and Justin Yoho.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, in Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave. Family and friends may call one hour before services in the funeral home.
