Karol Kay Snyder, 57, of Lilac Road, South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Karol was born on June 4, 1948, in South Bend, to William and Rosemary (Haringer) Bare and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by her daughter, Robbyn Snyder of Indianapolis, Indiana; her two sons, Richard Snyder of Elkhart, Indiana and Robert Snyder of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Aryn, Lauryn and Nicholas Snyder and Ty Geisleman; her parents, William and Rosemary Bare of South Bend; her sister, Billie Jean Catanzarite of Granger, Indiana; and her significant other, whom she lived with, Tom Zakrowski. She is also survived by her golden retriever, Samantha.

Karol worked for the South Bend Medical Foundation for 27 years, in the surgical records department.

A memorial service for Karol will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2005, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family for two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545-3099 or to the Lymphoma Society, Indiana Chapter, 941 E. 86th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
