James L. Snyder

James L. ''Jim'' Snyder, 56, of East 9th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after a brief illness at 8:19 a.m. on Monday, March 15th, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Jim was born on March 29, 1942, in Anderson, Ind., as the son of the late Herman and Doris (Brockmyer) Snyder. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Clifford Teeter.

On July 1, 1967, in South Bend, Ind., Jim married the love of his life, the former Judy Teeter, who survives. He is also survived by their children: two daughters, Christine (Sean) Bliss and Theresa Snyder (Kevin) both of Indianapolis, Ind., and a son, Tim (Karen) Snyder, also of Indianapolis. Jim is survived by many friends and family who will miss him dearly. He was also just blessed with a granddaughter, Callie Grace Snyder; his mother-in-law, Dolores Teeter of Mishawaka; four brothers, Steve Snyder of Pellston, Mich., Tom Snyder and John Snyder, both of Anderson, and Bill Snyder of Indianapolis.

Jim was the owner of Jim Snyder and Associates in Mishawaka. Jim devoted his career to helping the people of this community.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Osceola, Ind. The Hahn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
