Mr. Donald E. Snodgrass, 66, of Layton Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an extended illness at 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Mr. Snodgrass was born on March 5, 1933, in South Bend, and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area. He retired in 1995 after 45 years service with the IBEW #153 in South Bend. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

On March 17, 1993, in South Bend, he married the former Anna Chapman, who survives. He is also survived by three daughters, Vickie Rogers, Joelle Dieringer and Kimberly Bonds, all of Mishawaka, Ind.; a son, Scott A. Snodgrass of Nappanee, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Angela O'Hara of South Bend; a brother, Harold Snodgrass of Arizona; and by seven loving grandchildren.

Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, in the Hanley & Sons ''Southwest Chapel'' Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, in the funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. The family request that all memorial contributions be made to Indiana University Hospital, Renal Division, IU Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN. The Hanley & Sons ''Southwest Chapel'' Funeral Home handled services and extend heartfelt sympathy to the family.
