MISHAWAKA - Carol "Joan" Snider, 69, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in Hospice House. Carol was born on August 7, 1937, in Alvon, WV, to William Lee and Vaunisha G. (Waid) Sulser, who both have preceded her in death. Carol was also preceded in death by a sister, Zelda Sulser.

On April 20, 1957, in White Sulphur Springs, WV, as Carol J. Sulser, she married Raymond "Basil" Snider, who survives along with a daughter, Karen Lynn Geisler of Mishawaka; two sons, Raymond M. (Shelli) Snider of Elkhart, IN, and Robert M. (Kimberly) Snider of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Michael, Lacey, Lindsey, Gregory, Adam, Nathaniel and Hannah. Carol is also survived by two sisters, Judith Ann (E.W.) Dillon of White Sulphur Springs and Nelda Rae (Bruce) Nutter of Goleta, CA; and a brother, Charles Lee (Martha) Sulser of White Sulphur Springs. Carol graduated from White Sulphur Springs High School in 1956 and was a member of Southside General Baptist Church in Mishawaka. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and thought more of her family than she did of herself.

Funeral services for Carol will be on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where visitation will also be on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ledford Stults will officiate the services, with entombment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
