SOUTH BEND - Alfred L. Sniadecki, 81, passed away after a
long illness on Monday, March 10th, in his residence. Alfred was
born on May 28, 1926, in South Bend, to the late Walter and
Blanche (Kruska) Sniadecki.
In 1948 he married Virginia Kuspa,
who passed away on July 17, 2006. He is survived by his sister,
Carrie Lopczynski of South Bend; a brother, Clem
Sniadecki; and many nieces and nephews. Alfred was a gunner in
the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He worked for
Studebaker Automotive and Bendix. He belonged to St. Stanislaus
Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church, American Legion 357 and D.A.V.
Chapter #19. Alfred enjoyed fishing and maintaining his home. He
was known for his sense of humor.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.
Thursday, March 13, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower
Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. A Mass
of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St.
Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church. Entombment will
follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
