Sister M. Frances Roma CSC, 72, died at Saint Mary’s Convent at 9:15 a.m. today after an extended illness. She was born Susie Elizabeth Smith in Carlisle, Pa. in 1887. She entered the Sister of the Holy Cross in 1916, and made her profession vows in 1921. She spent most of her community life in St. Joseph Home in Washington DC.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the Church of Loretto followed by burial in the Community Cemetery at St. Mary’s.
