Hazel V Smith

March 20, 1911 - May 1, 1962

Mrs. Hazel V. Smith, 51, of 1909 Elwood Ave., died at 1:30am today in Osteopathic Hospital after a brief illness.

Born here March 20, 1911, she was married January 2, 1938, as Hazel Brinley, to Earl Smith, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William Davis Jr., West Lafayette IN; a son, Chester, who is serving with the Armed Forces in Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Sasse, of Key West FL, Mrs. John Donnelly and Mrs. Carl Adams, of South Bend, and three brothers, Cecil, Dale and Wilson Brinley, all of South Bend.

Mrs. Smith, an employee of the Wyman Department Store, was a member of the National Association of Letter Carrier's Auxiliary the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the Trinity Methodist Church.  Friends may call after 7pm Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home.
