SOUTH BEND - Donnabelle E. Smith, 81, of South 25th Street, died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital. Miss Smith retired from South Bend Awning. She was born Dec. 26, 1912, in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident.

She is survived by a sister, Maxine Bruegel of Mishawaka; a niece, Eleanor J. Fox of South Bend; and a nephew, Richard C. Bishop of Michigan City.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Cremation will take place, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call two hours before services Friday in the funeral home.
