SOUTH BEND - Donald Mont Smith, 80, of 1202 Hillcrest Road, died at 3 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Smith retired from Wesley Miller Insurance Agency and was a former employee of C. Mont Smith & Son Insurance Agency. He was born Oct. 5, 1915, in South Bend.

On July 31, 1948, in South Bend, he married Virginia Louise White. She died Dec. 22, 1991. He is survived by a son, Barry of Mishawaka; two grandsons; and a sister, Madelyn McDonald of Ligonier, Pa. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, First Presbyterian Church, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Michigan City Orak Temple, and Masonic Portage Lodge 675.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, Fulfilling the Dream Building Fund.
